SNCE’14: Results

     On 27-28 March II Russian Social Networking Congress and Expo was held. Now it's high time to strike a balance.

The event was held over two days in Congress and Exhibition Center "Sokolniki" and brought together more than 2,000 professionals. According to majority of exhibitors and visitors, the exhibition was held on a large scale; SNCE gained new interesting projects and sections.

   There was a business tour that preceded exhibition opening; participants of the tour studied Russian market of social media, augmented reality technology and mobile, visiting the offices of major IT-companies and digital-agencies.


          In 2014 the show included event a lot of activities, interactive communication, presentations and prize drawings. This was facilitated by the fact that organizers focused on convergence of several strong trends - social media, mobile applications and augmented reality technology: "We decided to hold simultaneously two events of similar theme - exhibition of mobile applications and augmented reality MATE and exhibition-conference dedicated to business in social networks SNCE. In my opinion, such "partnerships" produce a dramatic effect and promote the development of the industry: there are brilliant products such as Google Glass, iWatch with lots of useful functions and features", - Eremina Ekaterina, SNCE coordinator, told.

     Over 50 exhibitors took part in this year's show, including representatives of SocialMedia industry:

  • SemanticForce - leading provider of SocialCRM solutions on the CIS market.
  • Brand Analytics from "I-Teco" - tool for business analytics and reputation management in social media.
  • Wobot - system for monitoring and analytics of social media.
  • Avrorus - Russian developer of Timvi 3D platform for remote interaction in 3D locations (classrooms, offices, showrooms, conference rooms). Game format, high degree of socialization and a variety of communication services of 3D Timvi (voice/video/text chat, interactive widgets to showcase content, etc.) render lively atmosphere of communication and cooperation with customers, partners and friends.
  • Openboom app – app builder for VKontakte and Facebook.
  • Kribrum - system for analytics and monitoring of social media for reputation management online.
  • Sape - system of buying and selling links from home and interior pages of websites, which includes a number of unique services.
  • IQBuzz - comprehensive system of monitoring and analysis of mentions in social media.
  • 2Gis - developer of electronic reference books, which allows you to orient in more than 250 cities in Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Italy, Cyprus and the Czech Republic and find information you require fast.
  • Youstrike – managing ATL advertising in social networks. Wide choice of formats, targeting, analytics and reporting.
  • Smart Links - the largest network of media and media-contextual advertising in the Russian market.
  • and others.

     The exhibition traditionally included the conference that was moderated by Alexander Bakeev, Pavel Gitelman and Andrey Azarov. For two days the audience listened to more than 25 outstanding reports, discussed topical issues with experts during roundtable discussion.

     There were a lot of well-known speakers at the conference: Mikhail Maliy (Mail.ru) spoke about the possibilities of social networking in mobile advertising, Sergey Menshikov (Odnoklassniki) - about the video content, Nikolay Syusko (Affect) told how to make successful viral in 2014, Alexander Bogdanov (AGIMA) revealed the secret of performance marketing as a cure for permanent shame.

     Audience also enjoyed reports by Igor Denisov (Artis Wunderman), Maxim Belov (SocialCraft), Alexander Bragin (Kribrum), report about Navalniy by independent expert Ekaterina Patyulina and others.

"What I liked at SNCE, unlike many conferences I participated in - it's an amazing audience loyalty to what happened here. 90% of those who were listened to first report were staying at the conference till the very end. People took active part in what was going on and asked many questions. It was very nice," Pavel Gitelman, CEO of Digital Agency RTA, said.

     In 2014 a platform for quick "business meetings" with investors "Speed ​​Dealing" enjoyed huge success. For two days investors focused on startups and studied their proposals.

Famous "sharks" of venture business came to meet young developers: Peter Zhegin (ABRT Venture Fund), Lyudmila Golubkova and Sergei Vasiliev (Starta Capital), Vladimir Grigorashenok (Guard Capital), Arseny Dabbakh (Rye, Man & Gor securities), Nikita Rogozin (Softline Venture Partners), Olga Titova (ru-Net), Kyril Yanovskiy (ACCELERUSSIA), Maxim Chebotarev and Igor Yarunov (FRII), Alex Reimany and Alexander Petrakovskiy (EDevelopment).

Generally there were over 30 projects, among them the following projects have been named the most interesting: Omega R, Click Out, «Wannawash», Life event, News wired, Doha Poker, Recom.ru, Trendo.tv, Double way, «Bazium», PRO-market.

"On the first day for 4 hours we listened to representatives of about 20 projects. It was really good that I was taking part not alone - Sergei Vasiliev accompanied me. Three projects seemed really interesting, and one - can be even worldwide. We are grateful to organizers - Smile Expo - for pre-selection," Lyudmila Golubkova (Starta Capital) told reporters on the outcome of the meetings.

      At presentation platform for wearable gadgets and augmented reality devices, which was jointly by SNCE and MATE, visitors were demonstrated latest scientific achievements and scientific developments in new communication environment Augmented Reality: much talked about Google Glass, iWatch, Bluetooth talking glove Hi-Call, augmented reality glasses Oculus, virtual fitting room for clothing stores, robot-assistant Cubic Robotics with the ability to connect and control system "smart home". ARfriendly presented augmented reality app for playgrounds and entertainment centers. 

Spider Group presented application with augmented reality to solve business problems in tourism, engineering and construction.

As a result of the lottery it was Evgenia Soboleva, PR Director of PlayDisplay who won IHealth activity and sleep tracker from Medgatgets: "Just yesterday I threw my Jawbone in trash, and today I won iHealth from MedGadgets! PR activity and physical activity of PR Director of PlayDisplay must go on! Thank you MATE! You hit the spot!"

InstaBOX provided visitors of the show with unique opportunity to print their favorite photos. All they had to do was to place photos with hashtag #likesnce in Instagram.

Summing up all the activities that took place within these two days, it should be noted that SNCE took its rightful place in social media industry as important event for professionals. This is where you can get acquainted with leading market players, talented developers, major investors, listen to interesting reports by digital-stars, see and test electronic gadgets and their apps, establish important business contacts.
